I'd like to say that the goal.com article is a bit ridiculous. It was kind of an amusing read, really. I mean, aside from the fact that it was from a site that's known to be unreliable/absolute rubbish, if you think about it, the player in question can only be someone from a select group. Someone's said that it can only be Lucas, Agger, Kuyt, or Aurelio because the rest weren't at Liverpool when Torres came and Gerrard, Carragher, and Reina were all referred to in third person. And the thing is, none of the aforementioned players would do something like that (or at least I hope not). I'd like to believe that our players aren't going to talk s*** instead of keeping things inside the club and the way the article's written is preposterous anyway.
And well, any Liverpool-related article on the Daily Fail that isn't written by Dominic King probably should be taken with a grain of salt.
Sorry, I guess it kind of bothered me the way the player talked (if it was a "player" at all) more than the things he said because no matter how bad the situation is, he shouldn't have gone about it in this way. I find it extremely hard to belief that one would partake in such an interview though. I guess I'm pissed that this was made because it was unfair to Torres, yes, but it also paints our players in a really bad light. :/
The source is dubious for sure, but I’d hate to think that one of our guys would do that… It makes the team look bad and it makes it look like there’s even more drama we don’t know about. (Oh god I hope that’s not the case)
And even if this story is 100% bs and even though I like Fernando, there have been times when I’ve suspected he really is a little bit self-absorbed. I have a feeling that admitting this will cost me some followers, but that’s how I feel.
